Foamies or Stonies

I have a Foamie and mine seems to fly terribly. It's hard to control and it is not much joy to fly at all. Perhaps I got the C.G. all wrong because once I moved the CG forward a little it helped. I haven't had the time to move it further forward though. I heard that if the plane flies with a little tail heavy attitude it will help in the inverted and 3d flights. am I right?

Anyway I have been comparing my flying with those on the internet and it appears to me that those other planes seem to fly as though they are on a rail. They are so steady and they can maneouver in such small confined spaces (even though some have the same plane as me). If I were to try that I'd probably crash on the wall or ceiling.

So... the question is why do they fly so well? CG? Weight? Skill? ya my skill probably suck but can't be that bad can it?

80% because of hand & 20% because of Plane. if you want to fly like pro style, you need MORE PRACTICE! EVERY DAY! than only bcoz of plane structure- foam.

drats.... I was hoping it was 80% plane and 20% pilot. Ok guess I got to put in more flight time. Will let u know when I can hover with my eyes closed *haha*

having said that.... its easier to fly planes on the sim than real life. I guess too many other factors like wind and air polution in KL

hehehe.....we always blame the airplane and radio or pretty much everything but ourselves.....

If it flies with the nose bobbing around pointing upwards or slightly upwards, then your CG is wrong. if you need to fly like that, then maybe you need a programmable radio and then just program your transmitter.

Other possibilities - aerodynamic imbalance - is your left wing and right wing the same? Same angle of incidence, same washout/washin? Is your tailplane  flat???
