Secret Weapon of the Luftwaffe

Hello everyone,

I would like to share a special project with you:

Lip 20 EDF Jet
The real plane actually never made it from the drawing board during WW2. As a model however it flies great (and looks cute)  ;D

hi Warbird...

For curiosity's sake... could you list down here the price it would cost to get an EDF jet. The average costs of the kit, motor, esc, fans would do. No need radio. The jets looks so cool... perhaps its time to venture into it  ;)

How much for mailing to malaysia (KL) ?

Hi Adrian,

sorry for the late reply. Only saw your reply just now.

Example F4D Skyray:
- Plane incl Fan, Motor and ESC: 485 S$ (3 Turn Motor)
- LiPo Pack (4S - 35A): ~ 145 S$ (depends on the brand you choose)
- 2x HS-81MG (Now in stock): 80S$

Total: 690 S$ or ~1400 MYR

In addition you need a radio and min 3channel receiver.
This setup is quite fast already. You could get more power out of a 2W or 2W-20 motor but this would require a 60A ESC (a bit higher costs).

Please feel free to email us at sales@rc-warbirds.com if you are keen on one of the planes so I can make you a bundle offer. If you can wait until the 23rd shipping to KL will be free as I'm going there for a visit and could handcarry the plane for you and meet you in the city during the week.

Hi Warbird,

Thanks for the feedback relating to the costs & etc. I can see that it ain't exactly cheap as well if I want to get into EDF jets. For now I will have to put the EDF purchase on hold. I've got a foamie plane under construction with an additional plane coming from order. Don't want to be swamped with too many projects. One thing that makes it not too appealing is the setup required at the field to get a bungee launch. If only the jets have enough power for take off on their own. Anyway will keep you guys in mind next time I wish to purchase a jet. Thanks again for the reply.  ;)

Hi Adrian,

your welcome. The F-18 (will be in stock next week) as well as F-20 are suitable or hand or ROG launch. The F-20 can also be equipped with retracts.

We will also introduce a range of foam jets soon.
