Hi Mei,

There are quite a few shops around but I would recommend you to go Amcorp Mall in PJ and visit HOBBY Tech which is on the top most floor of the shopping complex. You can look for Mr. Wee. Friendly and helpful chap. The shop opens I think close to 12pm and closes in the evening. Those are the best times to drop by except for weekends when he might be off flying at the field.

What are you thinking of buying? A Raptor looks cool!

Keep us informed as to which model you have bought. I'm curious. I have yet to get my hands on a gas chopper. mine are all electric.
The ground seems to come up a bit too fast!

HOBBY Tech? I (and a friend) went there today looking for R/C heli (Raptor/TRex). Surprisingly, the so-called friendly owner was too cool..too much of ice I think. He don't even bothered to answer my questions. Not to mentioned the way he answered us, he sounds like "go away, I am not interested to entertain you!!!".

HELLOOOO? Do we look like a begger to you? We're not spending money for nothing! I think that will be our last visit to the HOBBY Tech , AMCorp Mall. Period!

Adrian, maybe it's time to review the shop's friendliness...

Hi mfadlimusa,

What I heard was Raptor/T-Rex is fine, not Hirobo. Maybe less popular, too expensive or due to something else. It's always a good idea to ask around, get more info, and don't get stucked by a 'one-man' advisor.

Besides, it's easy to get Raptor/T-Rex spare parts nowadays.

Cheers!

Have you guys seen the latest Trex 600 from Align? It's a 50 sized Electric Helicopter and it rocks. Go check out the videos at http://www.align.com.tw. The way Alan Szabo throws it around is amazing. Check out the video from here http://www.align.com.tw/bb2/mpeg/Alantrex600inside.wmv

Its powerful nimble and freaking awesome! Unbelievable.

Well... Nan, do tell me what you find at the shop. I like that place which is why I recommend it to anyone looking for a shop in the PJ area. I'm interested to see what they have there but unfortunately I don't have to time to pop over. Let me know if you find anything interesting that we all must have!  :)

Mr. Wee of Hobby Tech? Yes he looks a bit serious but he looks ok to me. Maybe at that time there is not many regular customers. Only himself, myself, my 3+ yrs son and a couple who is bz doin somethin with an aero plane model. Once he had finished with his teleconversation through the phone he started asking me, Yes? I told him that I want to fly the rc heli but don’t know where to begin. Then he recommended me the Lama models.

Actually there are 2 more shops at the same mall. Hobby World  which is located on the 2nd flr and RC Smart Marketing on the 1st flr. Check it out! Coz there is a lot of different in prices and they are friendlier. Eric & Keng Ho of RCSM gave me a lot of information that I need. I said to myself that I‘ll save some money and will come back to Eric for being nice to the customer.
