Tx Question
(1/1)
uniquexme:
Need some help here guys. My frenz was told that Hitec Optic 6 is cheap and good. The main reason for that is that it can switch between 4channels (to fly Lama), and 6channels to fly Honey Bee King 2. This is what the hobby shop told him. So i want to ask whether any other tx is capable of doing it?
i understand that some1 told me that Spektrum can't due to its 2.4G, so u can't fly Lama with it. But how about other Tx such as Futaba 6ch, Futaba 7ch? personally i still can't decide between Futaba 7ch and DX7.
very much appreciated is some1 could help out asap

hello,
I guess by now you should have the answer but anyway....
I have little knowledge on Hitec radios but if any radios that is cheap then it may not have all the programable function or advance features comparing to the highends yet still have few switches for servo adjustment..
Basically, in any radio supporting 6 channels then it can support less channels such as 3, 4 or 5 channels without changing XTAL frequency in both TX/RX. If you would to have accidentally bought a 7 channels then your maximum channels is still 6 channels.
Some users have tested running Futaba TX with other brands of RX. In my opinion best to stay with one brand for TX/RX.
For 2.4ghz it's still the same thing apply and make sure your frequency is lock and tested properly.
Lastly, make sure to test your set up and perform range check everytime at your airport.
Hope this helps. :)
