Looking good... keep up the good work!!!!

Man I love the look of the nose. The "wire-frame" is a beauty in itself! Keep up the good work. I found balsa planks here in Czip Lee Stationary shop... but it's like RM12-20.00 or so for a plank.. is that the cost of Balsa these days? I haven't scratched built a plane in ages... I kind of miss it. Too bad my schedule doesn't really permit it and kits actually turn out better since their quality is pretty good these days.

Anyway let me know when you're going flying during Chinese New Year! I tried flying my sim just now and I could still fly the plane and heli around. I wonder if I can manage the real thing. Its been soooo long.

thanks Brother, think balsa wood sell in hobby shop also not that expansive. it is fun that scratch build a plane, you will learn many thing, especially will improve your building skill.

some work on the front retract landing gear.. :)

wow... very nice GWS EDF50 ducted fan , with the brushless motor 5400KV the motor was so small... wonder the plane can take off or not... :-[  motor plus ducted fan only 23.4gram, nice!

Love the tail! I think your brain juice was put to good use. Looks superb.

BTW, I was looking at your landing gears... and they seem to be supported by "balsa". Is that strong enough? Don't you need a thin plywood there for more strength? Hard landings will definitely slowly eat the soft balsa away. But ply is a little heavier.

How's the thrust of the gws fans? looks like a mincer! drop some meat in there and it'll definitely shread it up for you.

Hi Adrian,

Happy Chinese New Year!

on the landing gear, actually ofcause balsa wood is more softer compare to plywood, but when you add in the thin CA the balsa wood will get stronger ;), ofcause i don't plane to hard landing this nice big bird, but if accident occur.... :-[
